Mrs. Gareau's grade 2s had a busy day being Superflex Superheroes and releasing their butterflies yesterday before the rain! Thank you to Ms. Creech for the popsicles and for allowing our butterflies to enjoy her beautiful flowers!

Last week our Jaguars participated in the LPSD track meet! They showed hard work and sportsmanship throughout all the events. Way to go Jaguars!

This week Mrs Spratt's Grade 1s studied the Canadian Author Barbara Reid. She creates all her book illustrations with plasticine. Yesterday, they got the chance to create art that goes with Barbara Reid’s book “Picture a Sky.”

Mrs. Harder’s class made sedimentary rock by scraping crayons. Then we added pressure to create metamorphic rock, last we added heat and then let it cool to create igneous rock. What a great way to learn about rocks!

Mrs. Harder’s class finished up the Superflex program with super hero capes and Super Hero capabilities.

Mrs. Gareau's grade 2 class recently took a step back in time to learn about what life was like for early settlers in this area. They made butter, washed clothes with a washboard, toured the Rendell House and played old-time games. It was a great afternoon of learning.
