Had a great outreach opportunity at Lloydminster Public Library this afternoon. We designed and printed bookmarks for 35 patrons!

That’s a wrap on Border City Coding’s 2026 Summer Tech Day Camp! 🎉

What an incredible month it’s been. Thank you to every camper, parent, volunteer, and supporter who helped make this summer so much fun.

By the numbers:
• 62 amazing campers
• 4 unforgettable weeks
• 310+ 3D prints*
• 310+ Scratch coding projects
• Hundreds of hours of Minecraft Education
• 1 incredible July

But the best part wasn’t the numbers. It was watching campers learn new skills, tackle challenges, build friendships, and discover what they can create when they’re given the chance.

Thank you for being part of an amazing summer. I can’t wait to see many of you again this fall!

One day left! Today was another great mix of creating, coding, and collaborating.

Campers designed and tested their own versions of Flappy Bird in Scratch, worked together on a community-building challenge in Minecraft, and proudly watched their custom 3D printed spinning tops come to life. It’s always fun to see how differently each camper approaches the same challenge!

Tomorrow is our final day of Summer Tech Camp 2026! We’ll wrap things up with one last round of coding, creating, and celebrating everything these amazing campers have accomplished.

Day 2 and the creativity keeps building! 🚀

Today our campers:
🎨 Started their multi-colour 3D prints (the hardest part is waiting to see the finished result!)
🎮 Continued creating their Star Chaser video game in Scratch, adding new features and challenges.
🌳 Designed and built unique treehouses in Minecraft, each with its own creative style.

One of the best parts of camp is seeing the same project look completely different from one camper to the next. Every build, every game, and every design reflects their own ideas—and that’s exactly what we love to see.

Week 4 is underway, and we’re excited to welcome a brand-new group of campers! While we’ve moved to a new school location, it’s the same hands-on tech camp experience our campers love.

Today we:
🔑 Designed custom 3D-printed keychains
🎮 Created animated name projects in Scratch
🏗️ Started building our own Minecraft bases that we’ll expand all week

It’s always fun watching new campers turn great ideas into real creations on day one. We can’t wait to see where their projects go from here!

Three weeks down, one to go! 🎉

Tech camp is about so much more than screen time. This week was filled with coding, Minecraft, 3D design, creativity, problem-solving… and just as importantly, time outside to run, play, laugh, and recharge.

We make a point of building balance into every day because great ideas come from active minds and active bodies.
