LCHS SAFETY UPDATE: ALL CLEAR

RCMP have given the all-clear at LCHS.

Earlier today, LCHS was placed in lockdown as a precautionary measure in response to a student-related situation. The lockdown was later reduced to a Hold and Secure while RCMP completed their work on site.

The Hold and Secure has been lifted, and school operations are proceeding as usual.
There is no threat to students or staff, and everyone is safe.

Thank you to our students, staff, and RCMP for their cooperation and response.

College Park School AirDrop: Team-Building at Sandy Beach

Earlier in September, College Park middle years students headed out to Sandy Beach for a day of outdoor challenges, teamwork, connection and fun.

On September 24, students came together to raise a teepee in the Lloydminster Comprehensive High School courtyard, using teepee poles that students harvested themselves last spring.
The teepee will remain in the courtyard year-round, creating a dedicated space where students can gather, learn and take part in further teachings throughout the school year. 🧡

A special thank you to the Sask Summer Games Legacy Grant for helping make this meaningful learning space possible.

✨A fresh look for Avery School!

Last week, our Board of Education had the opportunity to tour Avery School and check out the transformation that took place over the summer and fall.
Demolition and renovations have been underway over the past few months, refreshing and updating the school to create bright, welcoming spaces for Avery students and staff.

A big thank you to everyone who helped bring this project together and worked to have the school ready to welcome students this fall.

Take a look at the transformation.

🧡 Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, LPSD joins communities across Canada in a day of reflection, learning and remembrance.

Members of our Division Office staff and Board of Education wore orange and participated in today’s community walk to honour residential school survivors, their families, and the children who never came home.

Across LPSD, we remain committed to learning from the truths of our shared history and continuing the work of reconciliation.

Last night, students from LPSD and other schools came together for the Teira Thomson Cross Country Run, hosted at Queen Elizabeth School. Great job to all of the runners who participated, challenged themselves and crossed that finish line. 👏

A big thank you to the staff and volunteers who helped make the event possible; we appreciate everyone who gave their time to create a great experience for our runners.

Check out a few photos from the evening.
