Welcome back, Class of 2026! 🎓✨ Years ago, Mrs. Bulduc had a beautiful vision for her Kindergarten A class, and this week, that journey came full circle.

It was incredibly special to welcome back the Grade 12 grads from Mrs. Bulduc’s KA class to unearth the time capsules she lovingly put together and saved for them all those years ago. Reading those past reflections, celebrating the unique path each student has taken, and hearing about your bold post-graduation plans made us so proud.

Thank you, Mrs. Bulduc, for going above and beyond—proving that a teacher’s care truly lasts a lifetime. 🕰️❤️

📚✨ What a year of reading!

Across our six schools, students turned pages, explored new worlds, met unforgettable characters, and discovered the joy that comes from a great book. Together, they read an incredible number of books this year, proving that every page turned is another step toward learning, imagination, and growth.

As summer begins, there's no better time to keep the momentum going.

Reading isn't just fun. It's one of the best workouts for your brain. It strengthens memory, improves focus, builds vocabulary, sparks creativity, and helps develop empathy by allowing us to see the world through someone else's eyes. Even a few minutes of reading each day can help keep young minds active and engaged throughout the summer months.

But reading also offers something else: a chance to slow down.

A good book can turn a rainy afternoon into an adventure, a camping trip into a treasure hunt, or a quiet evening into a journey somewhere completely new. Whether it's a graphic novel, a mystery, a biography, or a favourite series revisited for the tenth time, every book has the power to inspire.

This summer, visit your local library, swap books with friends, build a reading fort, read under a tree, or enjoy a chapter before bed. However you choose to read, make it part of your summer story.

Congratulations to all of our amazing readers on a fantastic year. Now let's see how many more pages we can turn before September!

📖☀️ Happy Reading, Everyone! ☀️📖

These students have demonstrated that success is built through dedication, perseverance, sacrifice, and countless hours of hard work. 🎶✨ A Standing Ovation for Our Elementary Band Students! ✨🎶

Congratulations to the students and staff from our four LCSD elementary schools on an outstanding Elementary Band Concert last week!
Band is so much more than learning notes and rhythms—it’s a whole vibe of creativity, teamwork, perseverance, and fun. Throughout the year, our young musicians have developed new skills, built confidence, learned to work together, and discovered the joy that comes from making music.

Taking the stage at the Vic Juba Community Theatre is no small feat, and our students did so with confidence, enthusiasm, and pride. Their beautiful performances were a reflection of a year filled with growth, practice, learning, and memorable experiences.

From the first notes played in the classroom to the final applause on stage, it has been incredible to watch these young musicians develop their talents and share them with our community.

Thank you to our dedicated band teachers, school staff, families, and supporters who help make music education such an impactful part of the student experience.

Bravo to all of our performers—you sounded amazing and made LCSD proud! 🎺🥁🎷🎵

FutureMusicians Bravo 🎶👏
