Congratulations to Airah in Mme Lalonde’s class on an incredible achievement!

During our school’s Public Speaking Contest, Airah won First Place in the Primary Division with her heartfelt and entertaining speech about her brother, Carson. Her presentation was beautifully written, humorous, and full of life and excitement, truly capturing the audience’s attention.

Airah went on to compete at the Branch, Zone, District, and Area levels, earning FIRST PLACE at each competition before becoming the Provincial Runner-Up!!!

At the awards ceremony, it was shared that there are nearly 400 Royal Canadian Legion branches across Ontario. Out of all those branches, only four students advanced all the way to the provincial level! An extraordinary accomplishment that makes her achievement even more remarkable.

We are unbelievably proud of you, Airah!

🐝✨ Mrs. Haywood and Ms. Ross’ Kindergarten Class Celebrates World Bee Day! ✨🐝

Our Kindergarten class has been learning all about how bees help our flowers bloom and our food grow 🌸🍎

Yesterday, for World Bee Day, we took time to celebrate and honour these amazing busy workers who do so much for our world! πŸ’›

We learned, talked, and showed appreciation for bees and their important role in nature.

🐝 Be kind to the bees! 🐝

β˜•πŸ“– Poetry CafΓ© 2026 πŸ“–β˜•

On Thursday, May 14th, our school library was transformed into a wonderful Poetry CafΓ© where creativity and confidence took centre stage!

The winning poets from Grades 1 to 6 proudly shared their incredible poems with staff, peers, and our four special judges, including two English judges and two French judges. We were so impressed by the talent, imagination, and expression shown by all of our students.

A huge thank you to everyone who entered a poem this year. Your hard work and creativity made this event truly special. Congratulations to all of our winners for their outstanding performances and beautiful writing! πŸŒŸπŸ‘

What a fantastic celebration of student voice and creativity.
