Looking to take an AQ course this fall?

The OSSTF/FEESO AQ Program is designed for Grades 9–12 teachers, with courses developed and taught by experienced secondary school teachers.

This fall, Part 1, Part 2, and Specialist courses are available in:
• First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Studies
• Guidance and Career Studies
• Special Education

Courses are asynchronous, instructor-guided, and designed to fit the secondary school calendar.

📚 Courses run October 1–December 4

The Ford government keeps talking about “historic” education funding.

The reality is that Ontario schools have been shortchanged by a cumulative $6.5 billion since 2018.

That’s what happens when funding fails to keep pace with inflation, while schools are asked to do more and more.

Students deserve better.

On September 16, members will stand alongside teachers and education workers across Ontario for a province-wide Day of Action.

We’ll join in solidarity with Elementary Educators, OECTA - Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association, AEFO, OSBCU - CSCSO, Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), EWAO, and OCEW.

Together, our unions represent more than 275,000 workers across Ontario, united in calling for properly funded and fully staffed schools, better learning and working conditions, and real respect for the people who make publicly funded education possible.

As students, education workers, and teachers are back in school, every classroom should have the people and supports students need to succeed.

But understaffing means fewer supports for students, heavier workloads, and more pressure on the people who keep our public schools running.
