🏒 Westfield Hockey Day was a huge success!

Last Thursday, we were thrilled to have Mrs. Jen Lorentz Bignell and Steve Lorentz of the Toronto Maple Leafs spend time with our staff and students. At our division assemblies, Jen and Steven shared inspiring messages about living with passion and respect, pursuing work you love, and the importance of giving back to your community.

We are also incredibly proud of the generosity shown by our Westfield community, collecting more than 715 items through our food drive!

Yesterday, Westfield celebrated the culmination of our diversity, equity, and inclusion learning with our first ever Identity Day.

Every student and staff member created a visual representation of their identity, highlighting the people, experiences, interests, cultures, and values that make them unique. Throughout the day, classes toured other classrooms to view one another’s displays.

Identity Day was a wonderful reminder that while each of us is unique, we are stronger when we learn from, appreciate, and celebrate one another.

On Thursday June 18th, we will be celebrating Hockey Day and welcoming Toronto Maple Leafs player, Steven Lorentz, to North Perth Westfield! Leading up to Hockey Day, our school is collecting donations for a food drive, and we need your help! Students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items to help support families in our community - every donation makes a difference!
