The World Cup made its way to Celtic! Once Canada was out, our amazing campers from Spain rallied the whole camp around their country. Meet Cosmo and Jibbet, the friendly faces leading the Health Centre at Celtic! These two have been working at Camp for a combined sixteen years. When they’re not keeping campers and staff safe, healthy, and happy, they are both paramedics.

Here’s a message from Cosmo and Jibbet:

"It’s such a privilege for us to lead the Med Shed at Celtic! Camp is the beautiful space that made it possible for us to thrive and grow into who we are as humans and professionals today. It only feels right to be apart of helping the next generation of kiddos and staff be safe, happy, and healthy at our favourite place!"

Last week we said goodbye to our final group of spring campers. What a wild ride!

While the trees turned green and the lake warmed up, we met 1985 campers from 68 schools across Southwestern Ontario. We are grateful for every camper, teacher, chaperone, and Celtic staff member that made this spring so memorable.

Spring Camp update! We’ve traded in our wool layers and toques for t-shirts and sun tans. There is still lots of adventure ahead, but here’s a look at some things we’ve been up to since April.

What is the recipe for a perfect canoe trip? We think of starry nights, freshwater swimming, food cooked on the fire, a dash of surprise, some singing, a good map and the skills to use it, and… silence.

We offer two canoe trips each year: one on the French River for campers aged 13+, and one closer to home for campers aged 11-13 (Session 3). You can learn more and register at https://campceltic.ca/program/canoe.php

Our Rookie Sessions are a great first taste of Camp for 6-8 year-olds! We always love seeing our first and second-time campers develop confidence, skills, and friendships over such a short session.

During a two-night stay at Celtic, campers rotate through games, crafts, water sports, outdoor adventure, campfires, and more. The smaller ratio of campers to staff ensures each camper gets the extra care (and piggyback rides) they might need during their first time away from home.

We have two Rookie Sessions this summer:

Rookie Session 1: Sun Aug 16 - Tues Aug 18
Rookie Session 2: Thurs Aug 20 - Sat Aug 22

Spring Camp at Celtic is well underway, and here are some of the incredible crew leading it!
