Happy Friday everyone.
We are getting prepared for the fall and are looking forward to kicking off our 2026-2027 Karate Classes.
Classes will be as follows
Tuesday at Alexandra Public School and Wednesdays at Mariposa Public School.
6:00 to 6:30 will be our Jr Class (5 to 7-year-old white belts).
6:35 to 7:35 will be our Family Class of (all students including adults).
7:40 to 8:45 will be our Advanced Class (all orange belts and up)
Registration will be on:
September 15th at Alexandra
September 16th at Mariposa.
Starting at 6:30 to 7:30 pm
Fees will be the same as last year at:
Jr Class $160.00
Family Class and Advance Class $190.00

From a car load of hot dogs and hamburgers, buns, drinks, and condiments to 5 full tables of food. Thanks to all who joined us at the Karate In The Kawartha Lakes Year End BBQ.
About 55 students plus their parents and siblings attended.
Special thanks to Rodger King for being our barbecuer again this year. To Senseis Seth DeSouza, Maria Grace Dobbs, and Dave Cunning for the fun and games on the lawn, and to Sensei Craig McCleary for helping with organizing the food. And thanks to Alexis Wright and Teel for getting everyone parked safely.
We are so proud of our students…67 graded to their next rank a couple of weeks ago from the just over a 100 registered in September. A successful year all around.
Looking forward to registration in the fall for Lindsay and Mariposa.

Today’s the day! It looks like we will have good weather for our Year End Barbeque. Come anytime after 5:30 and we can’t wait to celebrate with you! Check your emails from the past couple of weeks and you will see the address in parking instructions.

Don't Wait. The Deadline for the REACH Awards is Monday!
The deadline to nominate a deserving SWKKF member is MONDAY April 20th!
Click the link below and follow the steps to submit someone for a R.E.A.C.H. Award category.
You can nominate someone from your club or anyone who has stood out, worked with you or left an impression on our Federation.
Don't forget to nominate your Male and Female Athletes...those dedicated karateka that train hard, attend tournaments and clinics, and show their spirit in all that they do.
Urgent: We are looking for nomination reviewers as well. We need 8-10 people to take a few moments and rate the nominations against the category criteria. It really is a painless way to volunteer. All black belt ranks are invited to submit their names in the same form below under Selection Committee Volunteer.
