đĽđĽI am truly honored to receive the Canadian Choice Award in the Health & Wellness category for the Lincoln area.đĽđĽ
What a blessing.
Serving my community, locally and abroad, is a privilege I never take lightly. I am so grateful for the trust and support.
As a workplace mental wellness coach and speaker, I welcome the opportunity to come alongside teams and organizations to talk about mental resilience, recognizing when fear is influencing decisions, human-centered leadership, and - when appropriate - a faith-respectful perspective that honors diverse environments.
Winter feels like it lasts 47 months.
And honestly? It messes with our mood more than we admit.
The weather has been very strange here- itâs January and we have had very little -0 temperatures. Iâm not sure how it has been where you come fromâŚ.
So hereâs your gentle nudge from me to you (and me too):
Get outside. Even if itâs cold. Bundle up, baby. đ§Ł
Take a friend, your dog, or just your headphones and a good song.
Fresh air does something for the body.
Movement does something for the mind.
And sometimes thatâs enough for today.
You donât need to fix your whole life.
Just take a step outside of your four walls.
Little things count more than we think. đ¤

STATIC HAIR- DONât CARE.
Some days you walk out the door, ready to conquer the worldâŚ
And no one tells you your hair has decided to audition for the static electricity competition âĄď¸
Life doesnât tell you when somethingâs off.
And if we wait until everything is perfect - hair, timing, confidence, clarity, we might never move forward.
Like spinach in your teeth.
Or flyaway static hair doing its own thing. ( that no one told you about.)- that doesnât mean you stop showing up.
Mental wellness isnât about having it all together.
Itâs about movement, learning to keep going.
Fly away hair and all.
Progress still counts. Purpose still matters.
Life takes some courage and a sense of humor.
So if today feels a little messy, or âstaticyââŚ
keep going anyway. Youâre human and youâre still moving forward.
( static hair optional)

⨠Iâm honored to be speaking at the âResilience: Your Storyâ Summit on January 16th. â¨
Those who know me know this about me:
I deeply believe that every story matters.
When we speak our storyâhonestly and courageouslyâit creates space for others to breathe again. It reminds someone in a similar place that there is hope, that they are not alone, and that resilience isnât something we manufacture on our own.
True strength is formed when we stop leaning solely on our own understanding and begin trusting the Lord to walk us through each season, each struggle, and each step forward.
Iâm grateful for the opportunity to speak into this space, to share, and to stand with others who are choosing resilience over silence.

đ§ Youth Mental Health in 2025
Pause and check in with one young person this week.
Not to fix, lecture, or advise â just to listen. Ask a simple question like:
âHow are you really doing?â
Then stay present.
Youth mental health in 2025 continues to be a growing concern worldwide, with high rates of anxiety, depression, distress, and unmet support needs.
These trends highlight the urgent need for support, awareness, meaningful connection, and accessible care for young people.
CDC data shows around 20% of adolescents report unmet mental health care needs.
Su***de remains a top concern â it is the second leading cause of death for Canadians aged 15â24.
(Note: global youth su***de data consistently highlights it as a leading cause of death among adolescents.)
Youth aged 15â24 are among the most likely age group to experience mental illness and substance use disorders, according to CAMH.
Share this information and start a conversation.
Awareness leads to understanding, and understanding leads to change.
Voices of Impact's youth initiative aims to empower youth to turn their experiences into strength, connection, and hope.

Mental clarity is not about having all the answers.
Itâs about knowing which questions matter.
When weâre under pressure, confusion becomes the real threat.
Thoughts race. Focus fractures. Everything feels urgent.
Mental clarity is the moment you pause and ask:
⢠What is actually true here?
⢠What matters most right now?
⢠What am I really afraid of?
That pause is powerful.
Clarity doesnât remove the weight â it helps you carry what matters and release what doesnât. It anchors you when everything else feels unstable.
In my work, I often come back to this:
Clear your head. Name what matters.
Itâs the first anchor of mental resilience, and often the one we skip when we need it most.
What helps you regain clarity when life feels like freefall? Let me know in the comments.

Today Iâm reminded of what a blessing it is to sit with those in long-term care, to hold space for families during palliative moments, and to walk beside loved ones who are preparing to leave this world behind.
To be invited into those intimate moments is both humbling and deeply honouring.
These are the places where earthly life slows downâŚ
where dignity matters more than everâŚ
and where presence speaks louder than words.
As a chaplain, coach, and companion in these seasons, I am continually reminded that every person is still a personâfully human, fully deserving of loveâno matter what their mind or body can no longer do.
A gentle word to anyone whose loved one no longer remembers you:
Please donât give up on them.
Memory does not define their worth.
Their identity is not erased because their mind has changed.
They are still your parent, your spouse, your sibling, your friendâ
the one who once lived vibrantly, laughed fully, and loved deeply.
Their reality may look different nowâŚ
but they still need connection.
They still need compassion.
They still need you.
Your presenceâeven when it feels unnoticedâbrings comfort their soul still recognizes.
May we continue to honour our elders, love the vulnerable, and show up for those who can no longer show up for themselves.
There is no greater ministry than simply being present.
