Today marked the end of our annual school-wide fundraiser! It’s always exciting to see the enthusiasm when our prize winners are drawn. 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to our staff, students, and families for making this another successful fundraiser! The funds raised will support some great initiatives in our building that simply wouldn’t be possible otherwise.

Thank you for your incredible support, and congratulations to all of our winners! 🎉

Today for Orange Shirt Day, G.S. Lakie students and staff participated in a Story Walk for Reconciliation to learn about Chanie Wenjack and his experience at Residential School. Thank you to our Lakie Alumni and current 2026-2027 Senior Miss Honouring Traditions and Reconciliation Princess, Rae Marie First Charger, in joining us today and speaking with the students. Thank you also to all our Lakie Indigenous Leadership students and parents who joined us and shared their beautiful artistry to honour residential school survivors, their families, and the children that didn't make it home.
