Arinola Bakenne is the founder of Zeebees Event Decor and a Human Resources Advisor with Palliser School Division. She relocated with her family less than a decade ago to Lethbridge and experienced firsthand the challenges of settling into a new country and integrating into the workforce.

Driven by her passion for creating pathways for others to succeed, Arinola has dedicated herself to supporting internationally trained professionals as they navigate the Canadian workforce. Many arrive highly skilled but uncertain of how to translate their experience. Through mentorship, resume coaching, and interview preparation, she has supported quite a number of individuals in securing employment in their fields—helping them build confidence, stability, and a sense of belonging.

Her commitment to community extends beyond mentorship. Arinola has volunteered with Lethbridge Family Services, served on the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Lethbridge Chapter Committee, and is actively involved with the Association of Nigerians in Lethbridge, where she contributes to cultural and community initiatives that foster connection and inclusion.

As an entrepreneur, she uses her event décor business to bring people together, creating meaningful experiences that celebrate milestones and strengthen community bonds.

Arinola’s impact is rooted in service, resilience, and a genuine commitment to uplifting others. She is recognized not only for what she does, but for how she shows up—consistently creating opportunities for people to grow, belong, and succeed.

County Central High School has received planning funds to begin the early value scoping process for a future modernization of CCHS.

At this early stage, we are looking for feedback about possible opportunities, priorities, and partnerships that could be considered as planning moves forward. We are especially interested in ideas about how a modernized CCHS could continue to serve students while also supporting broader community needs where possible.

Families with younger students are encouraged to talk with them about what they might like to see at CCHS and include their ideas in the survey.

There will be future opportunities for students, families, staff, and community members to provide more specific feedback as the project develops.

The survey will be open until July 24, 2026.
