Dhillon School of Business - University of Lethbridge

After eight years as dean of the Dhillon School of Business, Dr. Kerry Godfrey will step down and begin administrative leave later this summer while the school prepares to welcome a new dean. His tenure has been marked by disruption, reinvention and steady growth.

From launching new academic programs to supporting Indigenous education initiatives, his time at Dhillon has left a lasting imprint on the school’s direction and identity.

What happens when you say yes to new experiences?

For Nadine Thyssen, it led to a study abroad experience in Hungary, a year-long co-op, leadership opportunities on campus, lifelong friendships and, ultimately, the Dhillon School of Business Gold Medal. 🏅

A finance and economics double major, Nadine embraced every chance to learn, grow and connect throughout her time at ULethbridge. Her journey is a reminder that some of the most rewarding experiences begin with taking a chance.

From Gold Medal recipient to Medal of Merit honouree. 🎓✨

When Makayla Koshuta completed her undergraduate degree at the Dhillon School of Business, she left with a Gold Medal and a passion for research. That passion brought her back to ULethbridge to pursue a Master of Science in Management, where she explored how Canadian newcomers use online communities to navigate the settlement process.

Now, Makayla is being recognized with the Master of Science in Management Medal of Merit, celebrating a graduate experience shaped by curiosity, mentorship and meaningful research.

Congratulations to Yash Dixit, recipient of the Jo and Anne Vanee Memorial Award, which recognizes a Dhillon student who demonstrates compassion, kindness and volunteerism in support of their fellow students.
