October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month.

For the babies who were loved before they were ever held.

For the babies who were held, but not nearly long enough.

For the pregnancies that ended before there was a chance to announce them.

For the due dates that still live in someone’s heart.

For the names only a few people know.

For the tiny clothes that never got worn.

For the moms who had to walk out of an ultrasound room with their entire world changed.

For the parents who still wonder who their baby would’ve been.

And for every family carrying a grief that the rest of the world may not see

Your baby mattered.
Your love mattered.
Your loss matters.

This October, please be gentle. You never know whose heart is remembering a little life they would’ve given anything to keep.

🧡 Orange Shirt Day at Narnia 🧡

Today, we had the honour of welcoming a woman from the Blood Tribe to Narnia for a beautiful drum ceremony as we gathered to commemorate Orange Shirt Day and reflect on the importance of Truth and Reconciliation.

The sound of the drum gave us a meaningful opportunity to pause, listen, learn, and remember the children who were taken from their families and communities through the residential school system.

At Narnia, we believe that all children matter. All children are valued. All children deserve to feel safe, seen, heard, and that they belong.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from Indigenous teachings and to help our children grow with understanding, kindness, respect, and a commitment to reconciliation.

Today, we wear orange to honour the children who never made it home, to recognize survivors and their families, and to remind ourselves that Every Child Matters. 🧡

We remember. We listen. We learn. We move forward together.

💛 YELLOW SHIRT DAY 💛

Today, we wear yellow to honour the children whose lives have been touched by childhood cancer — the fighters, the survivors, the families, and the little heroes who faced more than any child ever should.

Today, we wear yellow for Kinley Mercer. 💛

Kinley’s life was far too short, and although she lost her fight, her story, her courage, and the love she gave will never be forgotten. We carry her with us as we continue to hope for a future where no child has to fight this battle.

We wear yellow for every hopeful child waiting for a cure.
For the families sitting beside hospital beds.
For the children ringing the victory bell.
For the ones still fighting.
And for the ones we carry forever in our hearts.
