Coalhurst Elementary School

Interested in coaching or to help coach some fundamental volleyball? At grade 5/6 the athletes are just getting their initial taste of the game. Having a good number of coaches can help their early skill development. Practices are Mondays and Wednesdays beginning in early October. It is a short season but it can be very rewarding.

Coalhurst Elementary is undergoing some playground enhancements on the back playground starting on July 13th. Fencing will be erected soon and we ask parents to remind children to stay well clear of this work site until the fencing has been totally removed. Youth should not be trying to enter the fenced area or take the fencing down and they should not be on the equipment until it has been cleared for use. This will help to ensure safety and proper installation.

Future Blue Jays stars? CES grade 2s played a fun game of baseball as part of the Blue Jays Care Foundation. Our classes practiced for several weeks starting with kickball and working all the way up to baseball and they impressed the fans with their prowess.

Natalia near took Mr Mac down with a sharp hit right back to the pitcher. Way to go kids!

Glow Dodgeball starts today! Mr. Mac is getting the gym rockin’.

It is so windy our students are doing everything they can not to get blown away!

Bring your appetites this morning! Mr. Mac and our wonderful volunteers were here bright and early getting pancakes going - despite the weather! And our lovely ladies are busy restocking the nutrition orders in the classroom while also setting up to serve breakfast. 🥞
