Congratulations to the 2021-2022 Winston Churchill High School Griffin Basketball team for winning the Bronze medal this weekend at 3A provincials in Red Deer. The girls played with grit and resilience; they represented Churchill well!! The Bronze medal caps off a fantastic season for the Griffins which included winning the WR Myers Invitational tournament, Bringing home the South Zone Banner, being ranked as high as 3rd provincially and of course the Bronze medal at Provincials. Well done Griffins!!!

Hey Churchill Family!!!
We are currently in a battle against Chinook and LCI in the Second Annual Catching Hunger Tri High Food Drive. Last year Churchill won with just over $5000 worth of food and cash donations. This year we want to defend our title.
You can donate right to Lethbridge Food bank and let them know the donation is for Churchill's Food Drive.
You can make a monetary donation online and put Churchill in the "Dedication" tab
You can bring any food items to our school and drop off at the front office.
As much as this is a competition amongst schools we recognize there is a huge need for food donations not only locally but all over the province and our country.
In 2021, there were over 1, 304, 000 visits to the food bank across Canada.
In Alberta, there were over 116, 000 visits across the province providing more than half a million meals and snacks to those in need.
This is roughly a 20% increase in usage from 2019-2021
If you are able to do so, please donate!!
