As we head into the middle of the month, we wanted to send a quick update of important upcoming information:

October 12: Thanksgiving - NO SCHOOL

October 13: School-based professional learning day - NO SCHOOL FOR STUDNENTS

October 14: Division-based professional learning day - NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS

October 15: EEP Collaboration Day - NO SCHOOL FOR EEP STUDENTS

Grade 5 Field Trip to Crossings Library - 8:45 am

Grade 2 Field Trip Bull Trail Walk - 9:00am

October 19: School Gym closed for Provincial Referendum

October 22: Assembly 9:00am in the gym

Grade 1 Field Trip to Helen Schuler Nature Centre 12:00pm

October 28: Hot Lunch if ordered

October 30: Halloween Dance-a-thon!

Did someone say BINGO !!!!indigenous families The Lethbridge School Division (formerly School District No. 51) Indigenous Education team is hosting a series of Indigenous Family Bingo events throughout October 2026. These evenings are designed for Indigenous students and their families to enjoy food, games, and prizes.

MMH community,

On Monday, Oct. 19, Mike Mountain Horse Elementary School will be utilized by Elections Alberta as one of the Lethbridge voting locations for the referendum.
Voting is scheduled to take place at Mike Mountain Horse from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Please note, school will operate as normal on Oct. 19, aside from the fact the Mike Mountain Horse School gymnasium will be utilized by Elections Alberta throughout the day. We want to assure you the safety of students and staff is our priority and as such, Lethbridge School Division has a plan in place to minimize the disruption to the school community.
Voters will enter Mike Mountain Horse through the southwest entrance, and security personal will be stationed inside the school to help direct voters into the gymnasium. We ask that families use the north parking lot for pick up and drop off of students on this day, leaving the south staff lot available for the voting public.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school and speak to the school administration.
