The BIG beautiful bull snake (4.5-5 feet) was a very exciting surprise this summer!

I mean we have never seen a rattle or bull snake at forest school for the shear fact that I’m positive they run and hide from our wild crew, but not this one! Slid right under one of our wildlings swinging in a hammock 😳😳.

"THE MORE YOU KNOW, THE LESS YOU HAVE TO CARRY." - MORS KOCHANSKI

Survival days are a blast, these kids come ready to “work” (I’d more say play, because it’s so fun!) and absorb so much information in a day through a series of unfortunate events! we play out each “unexpected” scenario as if there were all happening in real time…

(The propane was to roast marshmallows at the end for celebration, but our magrath crew ended up taking survival to a whole other level and cooking, and eating (because we don’t kill or harm for fun) minnows and crawfish!)

Pirate Island, home of the fearsome Captain Seabones, was where the storm smashed our ship to pieces. 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️⚓️

We were stranded on the cursed island awaiting her return, with the jungle ahead, the wreckage around us, and pirate treasure to protect…

Sound on 🔊 :)

It’s a kids world of communication and collaboration, problem solving and skill growing, imaginative immersion and creation…. We’re just here living in it 😉.

Ps. Loving the girl power in this video 💜💪
