When I learned I was insulin resistant, I realized I wanted to make small, realistic changes to my daily routine—things I could keep coming back to, even on busy days.

One thing I added was this tea. šŸ‹ It’s quick to make, easy to take with me, and has become a little part of my morning routine that I genuinely look forward to. I enjoy it alongside balanced meals, movement, and the other habits that work for me.

There wasn’t one overnight change. For me, it’s been about building a routine that feels manageable and staying consistent with the small steps.

Eating healthy but still hungry? You might be missing one important piece: fibre. šŸ‘€

Fibre helps make meals more satisfying and supports healthy digestion. Try adding fibre-rich foods like berries, beans, vegetables, oats, or chia seeds to your day. And remember to drink water, especially when you’re increasing fibre.

I’ve also made a pre-meal fibre drink part of my routine. It’s a simple reminder to pause and be intentional before I eat.

Small habits can add up. šŸ’›

Do you find it easy to get enough fibre in your day?

I used to think I needed to find one perfect thing to fix everything. What’s helped me most is building small habits I can keep coming back to—and this tea has become one part of my daily routine. šŸ‹

I enjoy having something simple that fits into my day while I focus on feeling my best and building habits that work for me. It’s a little moment to pause, reset and be intentional about my wellness.

Everyone’s journey is different, but I love finding routines that feel doable and encouraging. One day at a time, one choice at a time šŸ’›

Did you know lifting weights can support healthy blood sugar?

When your muscles work, they use glucose for energy. And regular strength training can help your body respond better to insulin.

You don’t have to lift heavy or join a fancy gym. Start with light weights, resistance bands, or simple bodyweight exercises—and build gradually.

Strong muscles do more than help you feel strong. They’re part of caring for your overall health.

Do you include strength training in your routine?

Nobody told me this might be the little change I’d notice when I started drinking this tea… šŸ‘€

For me, it’s been less food noise, fewer cravings and steadier energy through the day. I didn’t expect a simple daily routine to feel this different—but everyone’s experience is their own.

You’re right—I focused on the wrong part. Here’s a version about how you’re feeling:

The inflammation is gone, my energy is back, and look at me… cleaning the house! šŸ˜‚āœØ

It feels so good to have the energy to get things done and feel more like myself again. Sometimes it’s the little everyday wins that make you realize how much has changed.

What’s one thing you’ve been happy to have the energy for lately?

🦃 Thanksgiving šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦tips to enjoy the food without feeling completely wiped out afterward

You don’t have to skip your favourite foods or ā€œbe perfectā€ to enjoy the festivities. A few simple habits can help you feel more comfortable:

✨ Don’t skip meals to save room. Eat your usual meals so you don’t arrive at the table overly hungry.
✨ Keep your routine simple. Have your tea as you normally do, and if fibre is already part of your routine, take it as directed on the label.
✨ Build a plate you’ll enjoy. Add the dishes you love, take a comfortable portion, and go back for more if you’re still hungry.
✨ Slow down and savour it. Take a breath between bites and enjoy the conversation, too.
✨ Sip water throughout the day. And if you want a drink, enjoy that mindfully as well.
✨ Take a gentle walk after dinner if it feels good—no workout required!

Most of all, let yourself enjoy the meal without guilt. One holiday dinner doesn’t undo your healthy habits. The goal is to celebrate, feel good, and get back to your usual routine afterward. šŸ’›

What’s one Thanksgiving dish you look forward to every year?

Over 40? Try doing this before your biggest meal! šŸ‘‡

One small habit I’ve added to my routine is having a glass of fibre about 10–15 minutes before I eat. It’s easy to fit into my day, and I like that it helps me feel more satisfied while supporting my digestion.

I used to think getting healthier meant changing everything at once. But sometimes it’s the simple habits we can repeat that make a routine feel more manageable. This is one that works for me—along with choosing balanced meals and paying attention to how I feel.

It’s not a magic fix, but it can be a helpful place to start if you’re working on building more consistent habits. šŸ’›

If I had to start over tomorrow, I’d keep it simple. šŸ’›

I’d start with the two things that helped me build a routine I could stick with: my tea twice a day and fibre before my main meals.

No complicated plan. Just small steps I can repeat, along with the habits that help me feel better day to day.

I used to think I just needed to try another diet.

What I really needed was to understand more about insulin and how my habits could affect my blood sugar, hunger and energy.

Learning about insulin resistance helped me look beyond ā€œeating less and trying harder.ā€ I started focusing on simple, consistent habits—and finding an approach I could actually stick with.

I’m still learning, and I know everyone’s health journey is different. If you’re concerned about your blood sugar or insulin, talk with your healthcare provider.

Have you ever felt like you needed to try one more diet? šŸ’›
