Learning threw play is so beneficial in so many ways.. there’s plenty of time for school when their older; let them be kids now

Did you know that a 3-year old (top left image) and a 6-year old (top right image) have significantly different skeletal structure in their hands?! Notice the bones in the wrist of the 3-year old -- many of them are still mostly cartilage! Look at all the spaces in between the bones where muscles and tendons will change through the years. Even the difference between a 6-year old and a 14-year old (lower right) is huge!

Preschoolers have SO much development to do before they can write the way school-aged children or adults can!

Please do NOT stress if your preschooler does not want to write or draw. Some love it and some don't.

While they are growing, strengthen those little bones and muscles! Here are some great pre-writing, muscle-strengthening activities:

* painting, drawing, coloring
* playdough
* tearing and cutting
* gluing
* poking holes in things (try toothpicks and paper!)
* digging in dirt
* building with LEGOS, marble runs, or other blocks
* beading (try beads, cut straws, or even bobbins!)
* puzzles
* squeezing (try stress balls, squeezing water in a sponge, or using a pipette)
* picking up and throwing balls (use different sizes!)
* playing with toys (watch what their little fingers do when they pick up and move little cars, marbles, action figures, etc!)

These all strengthen and help develop little hands, muscles, and bones. When they are physically ready to write, it will be so much easier than if they were pushed when they didn't want to and weren't ready!

We went on a brisk walk this morning while I only had 3, then it was time to dance off some energy… it’s soo hot 🥵 outside already that I’m happy we got outside earlier!!

A little baking this morning to before it becomes unbearable in here to use the oven lol
Once those are done out to the backyard to enjoy the breeze and shade; again to beat the heat…

🤩SHIFT/EXTENDED CARE Available come September 🤩

Hello Parents,
I own/operate WUNDER BUGZ, a Private well established Dayhome of 9yrs running.
I’m looking for some feed back in regards on other hrs of care needed other then the reg 7-5, this is to accommodate Kids in Leduc and surrounding areas.

Is there a need for shift workers, early drop off and late pick ups, even over night care. Consistent casual drop off Care? Consistent weekend care? I say consistent meaning a person who is always needing the weekend as it still takes a spot up. ☺️

I’m hoping this post will also help fellow providers in ways of continuing running our Private homes as opposed to being forced to Close our doors. I personally love my career, and as a widow/single mom to 3 kidos I’m willing and needing to do what I can to continue to support them.
We all have our own reasons of not joining the government (THIS IS NOT A DEBATE POST)

I’m just putting out feelers if there is a need for different ways I can accommodate parents. I have spaces coming up and need to be able to generate the income I’ll be losing, and again a 7-5 family etc is naturally choosing licensed facilities. 😊

Wunder Bugz Dayhome will have FT spots open as well as extended hour care for shift workers available come September ☺️
limited Shift-work Care available so please secure your spots soon!!
To set up a meet and greet please feel free to reach out via PM or leave a comment please.
