It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news of a tragic accident involving one of our own. Jayden Dalke, an alumnus of Leduc Composite High School, has passed away.
Jayden was a valued member of our Tiger community, known for his bright spirit, kindness, and the lasting impact he left on his teachers, coaches, and peers during his time at LCHS.
Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to Jayden’s family, his friends, and everyone in the Leduc community who knew and loved him during this incredibly difficult time.

Once a Tiger, always a Tiger. Rest in peace, Jayden. 🕊️

It is with profound sadness that the Saskatchewan Roughriders mourn the loss of linebacker and team captain Jayden Dalke, who passed away in a car accident yesterday evening. A relentless warrior on the field, Jayden’s determination, toughness and work ethic inspired his teammates, who cared deeply for him and are heartbroken by his passing.

Jayden had a unique gift of making the people around him feel special and valued. No one ever left a conversation with him without a smile. On and off the field, he was the true definition of what it means to be a Saskatchewan Roughrider.

Our hearts go out to the entire Dalke family, who traveled the country to watch Jayden live his dream. We will miss him terribly and will never forget the impact he had on our lives and our team.

The Welding Department would like to extend a sincere thank you to Kimberly, Dale, Tyler, and the Alberta Section of the American Welding Society (AWS) for their generous donation to our welding program. Their support is greatly appreciated and will have a positive impact on our students by helping to enhance learning opportunities and strengthen hands-on experiences in the shop. We are incredibly grateful for their commitment to supporting skilled trades education.

Congratulations to our Cosmetology students!

Yesterday and today, seven students in Cosmetology 30 successfully completed both the theory and practical components of their First Period Hairstylist Apprenticeship exam. This is a significant milestone that reflects their dedication, hard work, and commitment to developing their skills in the trade.

We are incredibly proud of the professionalism, talent, and perseverance these students demonstrated throughout the program and during the examination process. We wish them continued success as they move forward in their apprenticeship journey and future careers in the hairstyling industry.

The competition was fierce, and we couldn't be more proud of the skill, determination, and professionalism you demonstrated throughout the event. The LCHS Staff vs. Students Slo-Pitch Game was a HUGE success!

Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on and support both teams. The game was incredibly close from start to finish, keeping everyone entertained right to the final inning.

Of course, every game needs a winner... so congratulations to our staff team for pulling off the victory by a SINGLE run!

Thank you to all of our players, fans, and volunteers for helping make it such a fun and memorable evening. We can't wait to do it again!
