June 2026 Final Exam Schedule

LCS Elementary Track & Field Day - Tuesday, June 16/26.

On April 29th, LCS students were treated to a performance from Dufflebag Theatre of “Beauty and the Beast”. Some of the students were part of the show! We were also very happy to have guests from the Western Senior Citizens Home enjoy the performance as well. A huge THANK YOU to Leader and District Arts Council for sponsoring this show, we appreciate it so much.

The cast and crew of “Hamlette” are back from Provincials. We had a fantastic weekend and an amazing show on Friday night! We even brought back some awards! Logan Duchscherer won the Debbie Baker Cheer Award from our school and also won a Technical Performance Award for stage management. Allegra Sifert won an Acting Award of Merit for her role as “Hamlette”.

LCS Jr Badminton had a successful day at the SWAC District Championships today. All 9 LCS athletes played with determination & resilience all day. In the end, we finished 1st (Carson & Colden) & 2nd (Jordon & Brody) in Boys Doubles. We also finished 1st (Austin & Jaylin) & 2nd (Liam & Halle) in Mixed Doubles.

Good Luck to our Senior Badminton team competing at Regionals in Moose Jaw today!

14 athletes from the LCS Jr Badminton team participated at Sectional Playoffs in Fox Valley today. 9 of these athletes have advanced to the District Championship, which will be held on Saturday in Maple Creek.

2nd-Boys Doubles - Brody & Jordon
1st-Mixed Doubles - Jaylin & Austin
2nd-Mixed Doubles - Liam & Halle.

Another great day of Badminton at LCS!
After a competitive day of SWAC District Championships, Leader advanced nine athletes to Regional Playoffs in Moose Jaw on September 2.
Congratulations to Jaxson Biermann and Kylin Charnetski SWAC champions in Boys Doubles, and Paige Elsasser and Grady Dale, SWAC champions in Mixed Doubles. Ava Prokopchuk and Robert Cunningham, 2nd in Mixed Doubles. Rachel C***s and Cyler Eresman, 2nd in Girls Doubles, and Chris Girardin 2nd in Boys Singles, also advance to Regionals this weekend.

This year LCS started an Esports Club and we had 15 students from grades 7-12 join. We practiced “Rocket League” and “Mario Kart” from January - March and went to the school division’s tournament at Maverick School to compete against other schools. LCS came home with the trophy for Mario Kart - Allegra Sifert won first place and Catherine Dietrich roared up into second place ! 🥇🥈
