We are pleased to introduce our School Captains for the year: Olivia and Luca! 👏

As Captains, they will help lead student life, support school spirit, and represent the student voice across our community. This role is about more than being visible at events. It is about setting a positive tone, bringing students together, and helping make Aspengrove a place where people feel connected and involved.

Olivia and Luca bring strong energy, care for the school, and a willingness to take on responsibility. We are looking forward to seeing how they work with students, staff, and our leadership teams throughout the year.

Please join us in congratulating Olivia and Luca as they step into this important role!!

Some stories never go out of style. 🐛📖

For generations, The Very Hungry Caterpillar has sparked curiosity, imagination, and a love of reading in young children. It’s one of those timeless classics that continues to bring little readers together, page after page.

There is something especially sweet about watching our preschool students discover this beloved story together. From counting the caterpillar’s snacks to wondering what happens next, these simple moments are helping build a lifelong love of books.

Did you know that public speaking begins as early as Kindergarten at Aspengrove? 🎤

Confidence is built one opportunity at a time.

From reading stories aloud to hosting school assemblies, our youngest learners are encouraged to step in front of their peers and practice one of life’s most valuable skills. Along the way, they learn to make eye contact, project their voices, think on their feet, and speak with confidence.

In today’s digital world, speaking in front of others can feel more intimidating than ever. That is why we believe it is so important to give students regular opportunities to practice in a supportive environment.

These experiences grow alongside our students. What starts with reading a few sentences in Kindergarten becomes Speech Week in Middle School, classroom presentations, leadership opportunities, and confident public speaking in Senior School.

Watching our students grow into confident communicators is one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. We are so proud of every student who has the courage to stand up, speak, and share their voice. 🗣️

As we look back on some of last school year’s standout moments, this one certainly deserves a spotlight!

Near the end of the school year, Grade 10 students Jake, Ethan, and Griffin created an extraordinary 3D model of the Battle of the Somme for their First World War unit in Individuals & Societies.

Their project featured 3D-printed soldiers and a tank, handcrafted trenches and sandbags, integrated LED lighting to recreate battlefield explosions, and custom QR codes linking to historical explanations for each section of the model. The level of detail, creativity, and historical understanding was truly remarkable.

After 20 years of teaching at Aspengrove, Mr. Vincent shared that this is one of the most impressive pieces of student work he has ever received.

Congratulations to Jake, Ethan, and Griffin on an outstanding project that brought history to life. 👏
