Loose Parts Play

I have set out the loose parts for story play and am looking forward to seeing the children explore the materials.

These vintage Ikea trofast step shelves are the best for displaying materials and offering children easy independent access.

While the children are at the beach I began the end of summer cleaning beginning with reducing art materials. Tomorrow we are closed and staff will do a deep clean and reduce the play materials for next week’s new group of children.

Another beautiful morning at Huddlestone Park. This lovely group of pre-kinders created a huge rainbow using found loose parts. It was their final morning together as they transition to Kindergarten in September. We loved their enthusiasm for nature play and will miss them dearly.

Even though it was their final day of preschool, these prekinders were eager to learn a new skill - weaving. Such an amazing group of children.

We have begun to select materials to be explored this fall including printmaking, clay and weaving.

We are a nature early learning centre so the children's afternoon will be split between spending time in our beautiful classroom and in nature.

Art materials are included in our monthly fee of $90.00.
