This recognition reflects the outstanding performance of our students in one of Canada’s long-running and most respected math competitions for Grades 3–9.

A few years ago, UNESCO highlighted that learning mathematics through problem-solving is one of the most effective ways to develop strong, lasting mathematical skills — skills that help students confidently meet the challenges of the future.

At Solvedia Learning Centre, we fully share this belief.
For the past several years, we have encouraged and prepared our students to participate in the Mathematica.ca Canadian Math Contests, one of the longest-running and most recognizable national math competitions for Grades 3–9 in Canada.

🧠 What is the Mathematica Contest?

The Mathematica contests (Thales, Byron-Germain, Fibonacci, Pythagoras, etc.) have been held for over 30 years, with more than 1,000,000 students participating across Canada and the United States.
They are designed to develop logic, critical thinking, and creativity — and top-performing students and schools receive official national and provincial awards, making these results truly meaningful.

This year, approximately 40,000 students participated across Canada — and we are extremely proud to share Solvedia’s outstanding achievements:
