It has been an incredible ADST/Careers Week! From our seniors gaining real-world work experience off-site to the informative trades session with Mr. Carson, the enthusiasm has been great. We are especially grateful for the parents who led workshops—your presentations opened our students’ eyes to new possibilities. Our prayer is that these insights help them more clearly discern God’s calling for their lives.

The Advent season will soon be here and our weekly Bible verses turn our focus on the glorious coming of Christ to us in human form. What a wonderful opportunity for us to memorize these verses and share the Gospel with a tired and weary world.

Scripture memorization is central to life at The King’s School.
This term, students have been learning verses that tell the story of who God is, who we are, our need for a Saviour, and God’s solution through Jesus Christ.
This week, students are reviewing and reciting the full term’s verses—some even memorizing entire passages through our Master of Memory program.

October at The King’s School 🍂✨This month has been full of life, learning, and community!
From the excitement of school sports and friendly competition 🏃♀️🏃♂️⚽️ to the joy of Outdoor Education campouts under crisp fall skies 🏕️, our students have been exploring, growing, and flourishing together.
We also loved seeing families connect during Family Fun Math Night—learning, laughing, and encouraging one another as we build a community of confident learners! ➗💡
And of course, our annual Turkey Trot was a highlight! Students showed teamwork, and so much spirit as they searched our amazing 23-acre campus for paper 🦃s.
In the classroom and beyond, curiosity, creativity, and character are taking root and growing each day. 📚✏️
We are grateful for God’s goodness in every moment of growth.

What do you get when you mix readers, menus and a whole buffet of books? A Grade 4 Book Tasting!
We sampled stories, found new favourites, and fed our imaginations! Turns out reading is « delicious »!
What a fun way to deepen a love for books and reading. Way to go Mrs. White!

What a colourful day at The King’s School! 🎉 Thank you to our students for the wildly imaginative styles—towering spikes, twirly braids, beehives and bright (washable!) colours—and to our families and staff for making the hair magic happen. Events like this are a beautiful snapshot of our community “Being Built to Flourish.”

What does flourishing look like at school? Often, we may equate flourishing with academic success, but that does not necessarily indicate that a student is flourishing emotionally, physically, or spiritually. In our opening chapel, Ms. Statham encouraged our students to think of flourishing as a journey of learning, not an arrival. Part of flourishing at school should include:
Celebrating our friends’ successes at school, cheering 👏🏼their success as if it were our own.
Having a growth 🪴mindset that says, “How can I learn from this, rather than I failed…”
Taking risks in our learning, like raising our 🙋🏻hands in class, even if we’re not sure of the answer.
Sowing into the life of the school as servant leaders.
With anticipation, we step into this year believing that our students will flourish in their identity in Christ, with the support of all the educators at TKS, our families and the local church. Living out each day with the intention to know, show, and enjoy God.
~Ms. Charlaine Statham (Principal)
