Our Grade 5 students had an unforgettable day in Victoria! 🇨🇦
They were up early to catch the ferry, witnessed the MP’s Q&A session, and had the incredible opportunity to tour Parliament and met with a local representative who answered our questions about Parliament. Students also enjoyed a beautiful walk along the seawall and wrapped up the day with some well-earned ice cream.
A perfect blend of learning, exploration, and fun!

Our Grade 2 students have been exploring life cycles this term, with a special focus on salmon. To extend their learning their teacher planned a last minute field trip to Williams Park to observe the salmon run in action. As students walked the trail, they heard the rhythmic drum of the and took turns reading the salmon story signs along the river.

They viewed salmon actively spawning, noticed salmon that had completed their life cycle, and watched eagles circling above and gathering in the trees. Students naturally discovered that being calm and quiet in the forest allowed them to see more wildlife!

The morning included climbing steep banks, exploring forest pathways, and ending at the nature playground, where students spotted forest workers setting up lights for the light show! It was a meaningful adventure in a special park in that brought their learning to life.

Our Grade 6/7 students wrapped up their Culinary Bootcamp with an unforgettable evening on Friday, showcasing their skills in preparing a five-course meal under the expert direction of Chef James Smith, a culinary arts instructor with over 23 years of experience.

Over three exciting days, students explored connections across Social Studies, Math, Science, English Language Arts, and Career Education, bringing learning to life through hands-on experience.

Our gym was transformed into Trattoria di Murrayville, and the results were nothing short of spectacular!

We couldn’t be prouder of our young chefs and the incredible teamwork, creativity, and passion they displayed.
