What is WSC?🌍

The World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) is an international team academic program uniting over 15,000 students from 65+ countries each year and DLA is proudly participating in its 5th year, guiding scholars from the Vancouver Round to Global Rounds, and all the way to Yale TOC.

WSC challenges students beyond the classroom through debate, collaborative writing, the scholar’s challenge, and the scholar’s bowl — all while building global friendships, critical thinking, and confidence.

From Regional Vancouver Round ➡️ Global Rounds ➡️ Tournament of Champions at Yale, WSC is more than a competition.
It’s an experience.

DebateOn Leadership Academy,
expanding our commitment to student leadership, growth, and community impact in the years ahead.

A New Name. A Renewed Vision.

We envision our association as a community that not only supports students academically through debate, but also nurtures them into confident, thoughtful leaders who are ready to make a positive impact. While our foundation in debate and speech remains at the heart of what we do, our vision continues to grow.

Alongside this transition, we are expanding our charitable mission to focus on supporting students from local communities and schools across the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, helping them grow into future leaders and meaningful contributors to society.

As we are currently in a transition phase, both names may appear in our communications. We kindly ask for your understanding during this period.
