The kids enjoyed yet another ✨fantastic✨ Fun Day on Wednesday, put on by the Palsson PAC.

🦇 The day started with an educational presentation by Cowichan Estuary Nature Centre, who even recorded audio with special monitors in Friendship Forest a few days prior, to show the kids a few of the species of bats in the area! Thank you Bernie for your presentation!

🐟 We had another special guest, Brittany, from the Cowichan Lake Salmonid Enhancement Society & Hatchery who provided a fun fishing game with prizes for more fun in the field. Thank you!

🍦🌭Another big thank you to Anywhere Ice cream for providing the kids with an extra special treat that day, as well as the Kinsmen Club of Lake Cowichan for cooking up a hot dog lunch!

🌳 We couldn't have made this day as spectacular as it was if it wasn't for all of the amazing support from our community this past school year. Thank you so much to all of the sponsors, donors, and volunteers that have helped make such a memorable year at Palsson 🌞

Summer Reading Club is underway, and if you have kids that go to Palsson, you probably know we've challenged Cowichan Lake kids to get 200 kids registered in SRC this year! So far we are not even three days in and we already have 39 kids registered! We are keeping track with an octopus paddle across Cowichan Lake!

If you haven't signed your kids (0-12) up already, this is your reminder! Things don't officially get underway until July 2, but you can pick up your packages anytime until then to get a head start!

The program is completely free, and it encourages your kids to keep reading all summer with a chance to win prizes! See you soon!

LUNCH REMINDER🌭

Palsson PAC will be providing a hot dog lunch with chips and a juice box for all students tomorrow, Wednesday June 17th, for our annual ”Fun Day”

Every student will also get to enjoy an ice cream cone at one of the 3 stations they will visit throughout the day🍦

🌸 Reminder: Palsson PAC AGM is TONIGHT! 🌸

This is a great opportunity to:

A reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday, June 9th) our StrongStart classroom will be CLOSED after 10:00am as we head over to the Lake Cowichan Fire Hall for a tour!

Families are welcome to join us at our regular opening time of 8:30am and walk over to the hall with us, or meet us there! 🚒

On Wednesday, June 17th the Palsson PAC will be hosting a FUN DAY for all students and staff! The day will start with a presentation in the gym, followed by other activities such as field games, bouncy castles, a scavenger hunt, and more!
