RDA Grad Spotlight: Tessa Massey ✨🩵

“I’ve been dancing at Rhythm for 6 years now, and it is unbelievably hard to put into words what this studio has meant to me. It’s where I’ve grown up, found my life long friends, learned some of the biggest lessons, and ultimately grew into the person I am today. Rhythm has been such a constant through the most important stages of my life, and it’ll always feel like my second home. I’m so thankful to Elise, Tina, Karin, and Genevieve for everything they’ve done for me over the years. Thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, and helping me become the dancer and person I am today. Your love and support is what makes the studio such a special place, and I am so grateful I had the chance to have you as my mentors🩵

This fall, I’ll be attending the University of Victoria for health and sports sciences, with the goal of one day becoming either a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist!

To the younger dancers, and more importantly our upcoming grads, take in every single moment you can. The competitions, rehearsals, traditions, and even our late night yap sessions become the memories you’ll look back on the most. As hard as it is to close this chapter, I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with how grateful I am for this experience and how lucky I am to have been surrounded by the purest and kindest souls. Thank you for this unforgettable chapter.

We are excited to share that Miss Karin Forbes will be teaching our Friday Preschool and Junior Ballet and Jazz classes for the 2026/2027 dance season!
Miss Karin is already a valued member of the Rhythm Dance Academy teaching team, and we are thrilled that she will be taking on our Friday classes this season.
Miss Karin will be teaching the following classes on Fridays:

Preschool Ballet
Primary Ballet
Level 1 Ballet
Primary Jazz
Level 1 Jazz
Level 2 Ballet Tech

Registration is now open to the public!
If you would like to register your dancer for the upcoming season, please contact us to schedule a registration appointment. As we are a small studio, class sizes are limited and spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

RDA Grad Spotlight: Julia Parkin ✨💜

“I am so thankful to have grown up at RDA. This studio has shaped me into the person I am today, and I truly wouldn’t be who I am without it. My favourite memories from my time at RDA are all the backstage huddles, late-night DQ runs after competitions, and everything our little studio accomplished over the years. I’ll miss being in such a supportive and uplifting environment, and I’ll especially miss dancing and laughing with my dance family almost every single day.

This fall, I’ll be attending VIU to complete my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in hopes of one day becoming a pediatric nurse.

To the upcoming grads, you should all be so proud of yourselves. Make sure you soak up every minute because it truly flies by. Enjoy every second you get to spend on stage with your dance family because before you know it, it’s your last time dancing together.”
