Came upon these magnificent dandelions while untangling a mess out back.
So! Delicious greens to boost my blood and some hearty looking roots to make an oil infusion with!
Medicine is never far away:)

In Permaculture 'Observe and Interact' is the 1st design principle. Today is St.Brigid's Day and a Full moon day, and tomorrow is Ground Hog Day. But really, what we are supposed to be noticing is called Imbolc/Imbolg and it is the halfway point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. It is easy to notice a full moon on clear nights or perhaps through bodily functions and emotions, but the larger passage of time goes unnoticed by us modern Western humans! Why do I care? Nature observation is the main way we can reconnect to it. Because the Cosmos is also a part of Nature, so a part of us. I wouldn't have noticed if the ancients hadn't made a big deal about it, and our ancestors hadn't carried it forward. It's not witchy or pagan or weird, it is the natural rhythm of life on our planet. Imbolc is said to be the space between rest and rebirth, darkness and light. I think astrologically Imbolc falls on the 3rd or 4th so observe your hearts out!
