GIVE WHAT YOU CAN? Volunteers will be delivering paper donation bags to neighbourhood homes across Duncan, Chemainus, Cowichan Bay, Crofton, Ladysmith, Lake Cowichan, and Mill Bay.
If your home receives a bag simply fill it with non-perishable food items and leave the filled bag outside your front door by 10 a.m., on Sept. 19 for volunteers to collect it. All collected food stays local to be distributed to valley food banks such as Duncan’s CVBS, the Mill Bay and Lake Cowichan food banks, as well as the Chemainus Harvest House Food Bank.
If you don't receive a bag, or want make a financial donation either visit CVBS.ca/thanksgiving or send your e-transfer to [email protected]. Cash donations give food banks the chance to use their purchasing power to stretch every donated dollar further.
