👉 Opened in April 2022 to provide a high quality care program in our community.

👉 The B Hive provides an early learning experience in a safe and loving environment to a maximum of 30 children per day.

👉 We are a locally owned family business built on the pride and reputation of our sister business, Artistique Playschool &Early Learning Center.

The busy bee room enjoyed a creative turkey-feeding activity! We made a turkey using cardboard and then used pumpkin seeds as “food” to feed our turkey.
The children enjoyed picking up the pumpkin seeds and placing them on the turkey. This activity encouraged fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and creativity. It also gave the children an opportunity to explore the Thanksgiving theme in a fun and hands-on way.

Today, we had fun making turkey handprint art! 🦃 We used brown, red, green, yellow, and orange paint. Mrs Joyce painted their hands and helped them make handprints on cardstock. We then turned their colorful handprints into cute little turkeys. It was a fun and creative activity!

🎃 Pumpkin Exploration Activity

This week the children in the Busy Bees room had a fun hands-on learning experience exploring a pumpkin! We cut open the pumpkin and gave the children an opportunity to look inside and gently touch the pumpkin seeds.
The children were curious and excited to discover what was inside the pumpkin. They explored the seeds using their sense of touch and talked about the pumpkin’s color, texture, and seeds.
This activity encouraged sensory exploration, curiosity, language development, and fine-motor skills while making learning fun and engaging. 🎃🧡
The children had a wonderful time exploring and learning about pumpkins!!

Our busy Bees had lots of fun with a hands-on number activity in our tuff tray! We drew numbers with chalk and used cotton buds dipped in water to make the numbers “disappear.” The children enjoyed the excitement of erasing the numbers while practising number recognition, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. The Busy Bees enjoyed a hands-on sensory water activity last week. They used their hands to find and pick up plastic numbers from the water and place them onto a plate. It has been such a busy couple of weeks getting back into the swing of things we have not have time to share our adventures!!

Miss Joyce's Busy Bees focused on enhancing their gross motor skills. The children had so much fun jumping on the colorful liquid floor tiles! They practiced balance, coordination, and body control while exploring the different colors. Everyone enjoyed being active and moving their bodies!
