The "B" Hive Daycare

The Busy Bees had an absolute blast rolling balls to hit the cones. They practiced coordination, balance, and taking turns while having fun with their friends.

Toddlers and crashing things are the perfect mix for an activity ✨️

Our Busy Bees explored colors using wet cotton balls, food coloring, and paper. They used a small hammer to tap the cotton balls and enjoyed watching the colors spread with the efforts!

Our Honeycomb Room was busy this week also! There is something about a box and some balls that makes babies really happy!!

It has been a busy month so we are a little behind in sharing some of our recent adventures!

Our Honey Bees have been making some music this week and exploring sounds with different instruments. We even painted our own guitars during craft time.

The B Hive Daycare's (South) expansion is approved! Our program is pleased to offer a mixture of part time and full time spaces open for ages 4 yrs and up in our Kinder/OSC program for September!

This week in the Honey Bees Room, Mrs Wendee taught the kids how to make homemade apple sauce. It was a huge hit and they were all very excited to try the apple sauce.

She also brought in some cucumbers from her garden to share and helped the littles learn how to prepare and slice their own food for a snack.

It has been a great week in the Honeycomb Room. The littles have been busy with the gym and some indoor activities during the rainy parts of our week.

They were very interested in this week's construction 🚧 project!

The children enjoyed a play and pretend picnic activity using soft play sandwich pieces in the tuff tray. They created their own sandwiches, shared ideas with their friends, and used their imaginations throughout the activity. This experience supported communication, social skills, imaginative play, and fine motor development.

The children enjoyed a fun sensory activity using ice cubes, food coloring, and droppers. They practiced their fine motor skills by using the droppers to add different colors onto the ice, watching as the colors spread and mixed while the ice slowly melted. This hands-on experience encouraged creativity, color exploration, and early science learning as the children observed how the ice changed and shared their observations. Everyone had a wonderful time exploring and experimenting!

The Hive room talked bees! We then made our own bees and honeycombs. This craft worked on fine motor skills by coloring, cutting and painting. The children also turned it into a sensory activity by popping the bubble wrap that they cut off. 🐝
