We’re teaming up with A&W Lac La Biche for the Waste Less Give More – September Back to School Donation Drive! Your support helps us give local families a much-needed hand up as the new school season begins.

📍 How & Where to Donate:

• A&W Lac La Biche – Drop your cash donation inside the restaurant or right through the drive-thru! 🍔🚗

• Stone Soup Food Centre (Community Learning Hub) – Cash or food item donations accepted Mon–Fri 1pm to 4pm. CRA receipts can be issued for donations.

Shine ’em up and bring ’em out! The Smoky Lake Pumpkin Fair Car Show is back on Saturday, October 3rd!

• $20 show fee per entry
• In-person registration from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Town Office
• Prizes awarded at 3:00 PM
• BJ the DJ will be on site!

Manny ~ Available for Adoption ~ Currently at shelter (Male, Neutered, est DOB October 27th, 2025)

We can't believe this boy hasn't found a forever home yet.

Manny, a handsome young boy with a gentle heart and a curious spirit.
He came into our care with his sister, his mom, and an adult male cat. While the change was a big adjustment for the whole family, Manny has been quietly taking it all in and learning about the world around him at his own pace.

Compared to his sister, Manny has opened up so much, but he’s still a thoughtful and cautious boy who prefers to observe before jumping into new situations. He is starting to come up and ask for attention. He loves to find a cozy spot where he can sit and watch everything happening around him. From there, he studies the world with those curious eyes, slowly building up the confidence to explore more each day.

Underneath his shy nature, Manny is a sweet and gentle cat who simply needs a bit of patience and encouragement. With the help of his wonderful foster family, he is learning that people can be kind and that new experiences aren’t so scary after all. His fosters are doing an amazing job helping him grow more comfortable and confident, and we’re already seeing little glimpses of the affectionate companion he’s becoming.
Manny would do best in a patient home that will allow him the time and space he needs to settle in and continue blossoming. With love, understanding, and a calm environment, we believe Manny will grow into a loyal and loving companion.

If you’re looking for a quiet, sweet boy to share your home with and are willing to help him continue his journey of confidence, Manny might just be the perfect addition to your family. Watching a shy cat come out of their shell is incredibly rewarding, and Manny is well on his way.
