This month, we're proud to introduce Brenda "Jingles" Dauphne of BMD Safety Services, who has been delivering H2S Alive training with KVES for many years.
Brenda's knowledge, practical experience, and approachable teaching style have helped countless participants gain the confidence and certification they need to work safely in environments where hydrogen sulfide is a hazard.

We've got first aid, WHMIS, forklift, confined space, fall protection and a few Microsoft Word courses running through the month. Some dates have more than one option if the first one doesn't work for you.

We can also arrange scissorlift, boomlift, telehandler forklift, skid steer, Red Cross Bear Awareness and MS Office training on request.

H2S Alive is coming up on Friday, August 14th.

Learn how to identify and detect H2S, mitigate hazards, and respond when an incident happens. The day covers both classroom theory and hands on practical exercises, and everyone who completes it receives a Certificate of Completion valid for three years.

It's a requirement on most industrial and energy sites in the province, so if you're getting ready to head out to work or your ticket is close to expiring, this is the one to grab.

Everyone at KVES would like to take a moment to recognize all of the summer students working with the Haisla Nation and the District of Kitimat.
We hope your summer has been filled with opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence, and gain valuable experience so far. Whether it's your first job or you're returning for another season, every day on the job is a chance to grow both personally and professionally.

Student Safety Tip: Never be afraid to ask questions. If you're unsure how to perform a task safely, or if something doesn't feel right, speak up and ask your supervisor. There are no "silly" questions when it comes to your safety—asking questions is one of the best ways to learn and stay safe.
