Last Friday during our morning assembly, we had a special guest from the Waterloo Regional Health Network Foundation — Trevor Eaton — join us to recognize the incredible generosity of our staff. 💙 Through a staff potluck fundraiser supporting the WRHN Cancer Centre, our team raised an amazing amount, and our school proudly matched the donation, bringing the total to $1,266! 👏✨Thank you to everyone who contributed, donated, and helped make a difference in our community. We are so proud of what we can accomplish together! 💫

Today we celebrated the “first teachers” in our students’ lives at our annual Mother’s Day & Special Person’s Tea 💐
In the Montessori spirit of Grace and Courtesy, our students took great pride in hosting their loved ones for a beautiful afternoon of tea, connection, and a heartfelt performance by the SMS Junior and Senior Choirs.
Thank you to all the mothers and mentors who partner with us in supporting, guiding, and nurturing our students each day. We are so grateful for you! 🤍

Our Casa students practicing dishwashing may look like a small task, but it’s actually a meaningful part of Practical Life—an area of the classroom designed to build independence, concentration, coordination, and confidence. 🌱
Through real, hands-on experiences like this, children learn to care for themselves and their environment, take pride in their work, and develop skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Our School Musical “Seussical Kids” was pure magic from start to finish ✨
Watching our students take the stage with such confidence, joy, and personality was truly something special. From the bold, colourful costumes to the thoughtfully designed set, every detail reflected their creativity and hard work—and their excitement was felt in every moment.
This show was more than just a performance. It was a beautiful example of what happens when a supportive, passionate community comes together. Our dedicated staff poured so much care into bringing this experience to life for our students, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
