We are pleased to announce that Emergency Medical Training Canada has been approved as a WSIB-recognized training provider under Ontario’s updated First Aid Program, which takes effect on June 22, 2026.

Since our establishment, Emergency Medical Training Canada has remained committed to delivering high-quality first aid, CPR, and emergency care education. Over the years, we have expanded our training approach by combining practical, instructor-led learning with modern educational technologies to enhance accessibility, learner engagement, certification management, and workplace compliance.

As part of the updated WSIB First Aid Program, which aligns with the requirements of CSA Standard Z1210:24:

* Emergency First Aid will be known as Basic First Aid
* Standard First Aid will be known as Intermediate First Aid
* Current certifications will remain valid until their listed expiry dates

Emergency Medical Training Canada is approved to deliver:

* Basic First Aid
* Intermediate First Aid
* CPR/AED Training

We welcome the modernization of Ontario’s first aid training framework and believe these changes support the continued advancement of accessible, effective, and high-quality workplace first aid education throughout the province.
