We are reenactors who preserve the memory of the 50K Canadians who served in the US Civil war
We are made up of the 49th New York Volunteer Infantry, Company D and the United States Sanitary Commission, along with the our Union Medical Corp. Each year we travel throughout Ontario and the United States to reenactments. This year brings us the 150th anniversary of Gettysburg, along with several others.

With assistance from our comrades in the 5th NH we captured this scoundrel at Kinglanding this past weekend. The rogue was louis Coxetter of Saint John New Brunswick, Canada. Who was a Privateer and Blockade runner during the Civil War.

Great find this morning regarding Sarah Emma Edmonds aka Pvt Franklin Thompson. The file contained 60 pages including the written statements from her fellow solders in the 2nd Michigan.
