We are seeking an actor to play the role of Rose in the upcoming production of mixed(er) by Sam Mercury and Alten Wilmot, presented by The MT Space .

ROSE - 50’s-60’s. Sam’s mom. An otherwise smart woman but that doesn’t stop her from being conned by her own daughter. White.

About the play

mixed(er) is a comedic play that follows a biracial woman who returns home to Kitchener-Waterloo for a “surprise” birthday party thrown by her parents. What starts as a simple weekend quickly spirals into chaos—family tensions bubble up, cultural clashes surface, and a jerk chicken casserole becomes the tipping point. The story navigates bedroom confessions, group texts, accidental reunions, and even a Mennonite bakery heist, all while exploring belonging, identity, and heritage.
