No-Cook Play Dough + Phonics Fun!

The Best Ever No-Cook Play Dough (recipe credit: The Imagination Tree)

Students can measure, pour, stir, and knead their way to a big batch of soft, colourful dough, then get straight to work on phonics and spelling by pressing letter stamps, cutting out letters, and shaping sounds into words.

Hands-on learning like this builds fine motor skills while making phonics practice tactile, memorable, and SO much fun.

Parenting Tip of the Week, inspired by Terry Fox!

This week, students across Canada are honouring the incredible legacy of Terry Fox — a young man who showed the whole world what courage, perseverance, and believing in something bigger than yourself truly look like!

This week's parenting tip: Talk to your child about what it means to keep going when things get hard!

Terry Fox didn't run a Marathon of Hope because it was easy; he ran it because it mattered. What a powerful lesson for our kids!

Try asking your child one of these questions this week:
"What is something hard you kept trying at even when you wanted to quit?"
"What would you do if you really believed in something?"
"How can we help someone else who is going through a tough time?"

At CNCS, we believe that character is built in the hard moments — and Terry Fox is one of Canada's greatest examples of that!

Forestry Fall Fair
Celebrate the season and explore our local environment at Kitchener's first Forestry Fall Fair! Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a curious learner, or looking for a fun family outing, there's something for everyone.

Our walls are coming alive!

Almost a month into the 2026/27 school year, our hallways are already filling up with the most incredible student artwork!

There is something so special about walking through our school and seeing creativity bursting from every wall — each piece a little window into the mind and heart of one of our amazing students!

At CNCS art is not just a subject — it is a language, a form of expression and a celebration of every unique voice in our community!

We cannot wait to see what fills these walls by June!
