Meet the Iles!

Music is a pretty big part of everyday life for the Iles family. Though everyone takes a turn at the keys each day, Jamie is the one you’ll find most often at the piano - practicing, improvising or playing at church.

At Iles Music Studio, Jamie teaches piano and loves helping students grow in both skill and a love for music. He especially enjoys teaching worship music skills and is passionate about developing church musicians.

Alongside the studio, Jamie serves as adjunct faculty in the Music Department at Heritage College and as Worship Director at Guelph Bible Chapel. He is known in Kitchener for accompanying the Benton Christmas Festival choir and orchestra the past several years.

His musical background includes a Bachelor of Church Music from Heritage College, an ARCT in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and a Master of Music Education from Western University.

Jamie genuinely loves sharing the gift of music with others. We’re so grateful for the heart he brings to our family and to Iles Music Studio!

We’re so excited to welcome Matthew Stanton to the Iles Music Studio teaching team!

We’ve known Matt for over 15 years, since our days together in the music program at Heritage College, and we’re thrilled to work alongside him investing in the next generation of musicians.

Matt brings a passion for music and he’ll be offering guitar lessons for kids and adults. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to grow your skills and confidence, Matt is ready to help you along the way.

Hi! We’re the Iles family!

We thought it was time to reintroduce the family behind Iles Music Studio.

We’re a homeschool family running a home music studio in Kitchener, and we love helping students discover the joy of making music!

Fun facts:
-We have both been teaching individually for over 16 years!
-This will be our 9th season teaching as Iles Music Studio.
-We met in our undergrad while completing a Bachelor of Church Music majoring in Piano.
-We lived in Hamilton for four years after we got married which is why we still go to Hamilton to teach in-home lessons.
-We have three children - one is in the oven in this photo 😉

We’re excited for another year of lessons and to welcome both new and returning students!
