Self-Study: Week Three is Going Strong!

Our self-study journey continues as children explore the many things that make each of us unique and connected. This week, our learning has been filled with friendships, portraits, mirrors and emotions, colours, feelings, families, and homes.

Through these experiences, children are developing a deeper understanding of who they are, how they feel, and the important people and places that make up their world.

Physical Literacy Outdoors! 🌿

Our outdoor environment provides endless opportunities for children to build physical literacy through active, meaningful play. From running, jumping, climbing, balancing, and throwing to navigating different surfaces and spaces, every movement helps children develop confidence, coordination, strength, and body awareness.

Through outdoor play, children are encouraged to challenge themselves, take safe risks, problem-solve, and discover what their bodies can do.

This intentional learning invitation gives children the opportunity to explore what a real library experience can look and feel like through imaginative play, meaningful peer interactions, and hands-on exploration. Our Self Study is buzzing along!

As we continue exploring “All Things Self,” our educators have been thoughtfully creating invitations throughout the rooms that encourage children to wonder, explore, investigate, and play.

From Buzz Math and pattern making to sensory experiences, creative expression, imaginative play, movement, relationships, and opportunities to share their ideas. Each invitation gives children a chance to discover something new about themselves and the world around them.

Our environments are becoming places where children can follow their curiosity, make connections, express themselves, and see their own ideas reflected in their learning.

Buzz Math is buzzing through our Preschool classroom!

This week, our preschoolers have been diving into hands-on math invitations that keep their minds curious and engaged! From counting and matching to sorting, recognizing patterns, and exploring early math concepts, every invitation encourages children to learn through play and discovery.

We love watching our Competent, Capable, Curious and Rich in Potential learners make connections, test their ideas, and proudly show what they know!
