That Dude Who Welds

Finally finished the female, this one was a real challenge to paint and I'm hoping she goes as nicely with her mate as I envisioned.

This is one of my favorite pieces. I've now been tasked with creating a mirror image one that's female by this customer. Look for more updates in the future!

Finished another commission, it's felt good getting back into it. Slowly trying to pick up where I left off. This piece was a real struggle, I started it 2 years ago and then had to stop due to life throwing me a huge curveball. Once the dust had settled and I got back to work I could help but feel discouraged. I was hyper critical, nothing seemed to look the way I wanted. Wasn't till I got some paint on that I really started to fall in love with this piece. My customer was ecstatic when I showed them and that is always the best feeling. The lesson here was to simply keep moving forward despite doubting myself, in the end I had a remarkable piece that I'm happy to share with you all.

Hey all, its been a while but I have been getting back to work. This is a lil garden bee I made as a commission.

Here's a throwback to a high-school shop project...

I am moving and require a work space so that I can carry on creating my art and welding projects. I thought that I had a place to go, but that fell through. I don't need a ton of space, just room for a work bench, my welder, small drill press, pedestal grinder and torches.

That dude is on the move, time to start a new chapter. Change doesn't always have to be a bad thing. We just have to learn to adapt. I'm looking forward to setting up my new shop, even if it's a bit further away now.
