A reminder that tomorrow is National Truth and Reconciliation Day & Orange Shirt Day.

We encourage all students to wear orange as a way to honor residential school survivors and remember the children who never returned home.

Music is a medicine that connects us, heals us, and carries stories across generations. Let us commit to listening to, learning from, and amplifying indigenous voices in true efforts towards reconciliation.

Hands Together for Emma, as she completed her SECOND lesson today and already can play Old MacDonald!

What does this classic song teach kiddos?

The black keys are laid out in groups of 2 and 3. Notice her RH on a group of 3 black keys, and her LH on a group of 2 black keys! This later becomes a visual guide for naming the white keys! In a couple more lessons, she will explore how C is the white key under the 2 black key group, and F is the white key under the 3 black key group!

Can you believe it?! We cannot wait!

It's almost time to kick-off the 2026-2027 school year and we have SO much fun waiting for our students! From writing compositions, performing at recitals, and learning studio favorites, we have so many cool plans in store!

Please don't forget to bring your books (if you studied the previous year), a notebook for practice notes, and arrive with an excitement for learning! See you soon!

Hey students! Are you looking for a fun summer project?!?

A little reminder to pull out those studio composition books and try out your peers’ songs!

Such a great show of creativity, with selections from beginner to advanced! Send us a video of you playing someone else’s song, and we will forward it on to the composer!

And just like that... the school year is a wrap!

What an awesome year of learning and growing with these fun, energetic, talented students! We loved watching each of you learn new skills, take on new challenges, and share your music at festivals, exams, and recitals (see photo below)! To those not in the recital photo, we still see all the hard work you did this year!

This year is a big one, with Courtney saying goodbye to her ON students as her family takes on a big move. It was an emotional week, but she is so grateful she got to teach all her ON students and knows they are in great hands with the 3 lovely KW teachers! For those students registered in Martensville, Courtney will see you soon!

Enjoy your summer students, you've earned it! :)
