A big thank you to and for joining us at our EarlyON Centre last Friday for a fun-filled day of STEM learning! 🔍

Our PD Day camp group explored hands-on STEM activities grounded in Indigenous and nature-based teachings. Children designed and tested their own canoes in the water table, created constellation viewers and bouncy balls, navigated obstacle courses, and expressed their creativity through colouring, beading, and pixel art.

Miigwech to the Creative Encounters and Let's Talk Science teams for sharing their time, knowledge, and enthusiasm with our community! It was wonderful to see the kids learning, creating, and building confidence while having fun alongside their families.

We’re grateful to OneRoof Youth Services and The Home Depot for joining us at our Spirit Garden (Eminidowang Kiitigan) for a farm day with AO! As part of our late Earth Day celebration, they helped plant more of our edible forest and prepared the land for the upcoming farm season.

Volunteers also spent the day mowing, tilling, planting, laying soil, and removing dead plants to help grow fresh food that supports over 600 First Nations, Inuit, and Métis families through our Spirit Bundle program.

Our CEO, Stephen Jackson, also shared words on reconciliation and the importance of coming together to create meaningful outcomes for Indigenous communities through partnership, action, and community care.

“Reconciliation grows through relationships, and when communities come together to support one another in meaningful ways, we can create real change that lasts.”

Want to help us out this summer? You can sign up to volunteer by reaching out to us at [email protected] or by calling (519) 208-5333.

Thank you to everyone who spent time with us today. 💙

We want to say thank you to everyone who has donated a bike to support our Pedal to Prosperity initiative at AO! 🚲

These donations will help remove transportation barriers for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis community members by creating greater access to jobs, healing programs, training opportunities, and essential services. Something as simple as having a reliable bike can create more independence, reduce transportation costs, and help people stay connected to opportunities that support long-term stability and wellbeing.

This initiative is one of the many practical ways we continue advancing reconciliation through meaningful action and community support. We’re so grateful to everyone who has contributed and helped make this possible.

Miigwech for your continued support in helping achieve reconciliation-based outcomes 🧡

Something as simple as shampoo and conditioner can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day.

Through our Spirit Bundle program, we provide essential items to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis community members across the region. Personal care products are some of the most consistently requested items, but they are also some of the hardest to keep stocked.

Having access to everyday essentials supports dignity, wellness, and care within community. If you’re able to donate shampoo or conditioner, your support would go directly toward helping families and individuals access items many of us use every day without thinking twice about.

📍 Drop-off: 236 Woodhaven Rd., Kitchener or 400 Stevenson St. N, Guelph
🕘 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Tuesdays & Thursdays in Kitchener, and Monday to Fridays in Guelph.

If you have questions, or would like to arrange an alternative donation time, please contact us at [email protected] or (519) 208-5333.
