Times are tough right now.

There is a lot of darkness out there.

Life is getting more expensive by the day.

But. BUT.

I believe that we can all be light-bearers. We can shine up our little corner of the world. ✨

In that spirit, I want to make reading, and spreading positive self-talk, as accessible as possible.

Even - especially - right now.

As we enter into the holidays, when we’re all trying to pull magic from our hats, you can choose to pay anywhere from $4 to full price for both the hardcover and softcover versions of my book.

This is your daily reminder to tell one person how AWESOME they are & how much they mean to you.

Because we all know at least one person who is simply a fabulous specimen of a human being, but who tends to forget their incredible qualities, and tends to dwell on all their faults and failures.

If you’re a parent, or have anxiety, then I am SURE you are familiar with this. 😏

Shoutout to all the parents who have been busy taking back-to-school front-porch pics this week.

You’re capturing awesome memories that will be SO FUN to look back on one day. 🙌🏼

Shoutout to all the parents whose kiddos don’t do front-porch pics…

kiddos whose anxiety is just.too.much for something like that…

kiddos whose mornings are filled with simply getting to school, and that in itself feels like reaching the top of a mountain.

You’re doing the best you can. 🙌🏼

We did get front porch pics, but the start of school here always brings extra anxiety and lots of Big Feelings - even at a school they’ve been to for years, with incredibly supportive teachers.

So, if things are hard for you, I am beaming a ray of empathetic hugs care-bear-style your way. 🌈

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you to EVERYONE who has written a review, shared my “little book that could” with a friend, and supported the belief that we are ALL truly strong, smart, kind and brave.

Being a self-published author sometimes feels like pushing a boulder up a hill…

While making dinner…

And everything is on fire.

Ha. Maybe a bit dramatic, but life definitely gets in the way of Essential Author Things like marketing and regularly emailing my lovely email club.

I’m slowly working on something new behind the scenes, and just may need some beta readers for project #2. 👀

This is a perfect snapshot of life raising two brilliant, hilarious kiddos with ADHD.

Checklists become pranks, p**p and fart jokes rule, and developing executive function skills is always a work in progress.

Tell me: are you team checklist? My kids are on and off about them, but I LOVE a good checklist myself. I make them on the notes app on my phone to keep organized - there’s nothing as satisfying as checking something off and seeing it drop to the bottom of the list.
