Due to unfortunate circumstances, there will be no bus run this afternoon for Kispiox students. There will be a bus run for
Glen Vowell and Town students. Sorry for any inconvenience. We will have all our busses running tomorrow.

School Closure Notice – Thursday, March 5, 2026
After speaking with our staff and reflecting on how they have come together and supported one another during this difficult time, we have made the decision to close the school on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Our Grade 7 teacher, Georgina, will be released from the Smithers Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Our staff wish to be present and make the final ride home with their colleague and friend as a united school family.
We thank you sincerely for your understanding and continued support.
Please keep Georgina’s many family and friends in your prayers. We also ask that you hold her school family and especially her students close in your thoughts as we walk through this together.

Our Grade 3 class is preparing for their next end-of-year fundraiser! Taking place on March 12th, they are accepting preorders for Jello and assorted chocolate-covered deliciousness! All proceeds go towards the end of year field trip!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with deep sadness that we share that our Grade 7 teacher passed away last night.
Our staff have been informed, and counsellors are available at the school today to support students and staff as needed. We recognize that this news may affect students in different ways, and we encourage families to speak openly with their children this evening.
Out of respect and to allow time for support and reflection, we will be having a half day of school today.
Our thoughts are with the family during this very difficult time.
We will share further information as appropriate.

Good Morning Parents!

Kispiox Community School will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair next week, going from Tuesday, February 17th to Thursday, February 19th. The book fair will be open daily from 8:30am to 4:30pm at the Kispiox Community School Library. Come on out and see what's new and hot off the press!

Kispiox Community School will be having an early dismissal on Friday, February 13, 2026. Students will have lunch at 11:30am, with dismissal happening at 12:00pm. Buses will be departing KCS by 12:15pm.
