Congratulations Taylor!

Kinkora Regional High School 2025-2026 Agri-Science Award Recipient - Taylor Compton
Taylor Compton is the Kinkora Regional High School recipient of the P.E.I. AgriScience Prize. Taylor demonstrates the interest, ability, and strong commitment to the agricultural industry this award is designed to celebrate. Taylor is an active member of the Academy Diploma Program in Agriculture & BioScience and completed the Animal Science 621 course this spring. He has completed Tractor Safety Training, First Aid, and Animal Safe Handling. Taylor farms with his grandfather in Norboro and completed a double credit Co-op Work Studies placement at Glen MacQuarrie’s shop in Bonshaw this semester.
Taylor is the proud owner of a 1958 Oliver tractor in which he has fully restored. Taylor is an active member of the West Prince Tired Iron Club, and, at this years’ International Potato Technology Expo, he brought his tractor to the show to offer a reminder of how far potato farming has come and helped to celebrate the machinery that helped build the industry on Prince Edward Island.
Taylor is a thoughtful and kind young man, we wish him all the best as he graduates. Taylor is entering the ‘Agricultural Equipment Technician’ Apprenticeship program and will be working at Good Equipment in Charlottetown this summer.

Addison Baldwin was selected as the 2026 Rural Municipality of Kinkora Youth of the Year and Brayden Paynter was selected as the 2026 Youth of the Year for Borden-Carleton.
