Happy ECE Week to our wonderful educators at KELC!
Our team shows incredible dedication, kindness, and commitment every day. They work hard to support each child’s growth while fostering strong connections with families and our community. We are so grateful for everything they do, each and every day!

🎉 Happy Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Week! 🎉

This week, we proudly celebrate PEI’s Early Childhood Educators and child care staff who foster curiosity, build confidence, care for little hearts, and help lay the foundation for lifelong learning.

We extend our thanks to all Island ECEs and child care staff for the essential role you play in supporting children, families, and communities across PEI, today and every day.

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our annual Christmas Social last night. We had such a wonderful evening socializing, celebrating the season, and enjoying time together as a community. We truly couldn’t have done it without the support of so many people!

A heartfelt thank you to our Parent Advisory Committee, who collaborated with our local schools and community partners to ensure the event ran smoothly from start to finish.

A big thank you as well to the KRHS Cooking Class, who generously donated all of the delicious cookies and delivered them just in time for our celebration!

And to the Leadership Class at Somerset Consolidated—thank you for your amazing help with everything from setting up tables and chairs, to preparing hot chocolate, and getting art supplies ready for the children to enjoy. Your support made such a difference.

Thank you all again for helping create such a warm, festive, and memorable evening. We are grateful for each and every one of you!

“We stole the moon… and the spotlight!” 🌕 Another successful Team Halloween costume in the books 💛

10/29/2025

On Thursday, October 30th, we’ll be leaving our centre at 10:00 a.m. to begin our Annual Halloween Walk! We’ll make our way down to the post office before turning around and heading back.

In past years, some families and community members have parked along the route to wave and see all the fun costumes. If you plan to do this, please keep the following in mind:

📸 Photos: While it can be tricky to capture only your own child, please avoid posting any photos that may include other children on personal social media.

❤️ Children’s Reactions: Seeing parents nearby can sometimes upset or confuse little ones, so please be mindful of how close you get during the walk.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation — we can’t wait to see everyone all dressed up for this special tradition!

A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing families for your generous donations and for helping us share the true meaning of kindness, community, and giving through our support of the local food bank!

Thank you Kinkora day care families for your food donations and Kinkora Council for your monetary donation ♥️
