from a parent: My daughter has struggled to learn to read, in her first few years at primary school her teacher identified her struggles and put interventions in place but my daughter sadly continued to struggle with reading, which impacted her learning across the board at this crucial developmental stage. I knew she was going to require more help to reach her potential so I sought support from Honor when my daughter was 6 years old. We live in the UK, so the entire course of learning has been conducted via zoom, but this has worked extremely well for my daughter and allowed us to chunk the learning into two shorter sessions weekly.
My daughter has been studying with Honor now for 15 months and has turned 8, the progress she has made with Honor’s careful guidance has been astounding. While attending our most recent parents evening appointment, we were really excited and pleased to hear that out daughter no longer require extra phonics lessons at school and has progressed so far in English she is now regularly engaging with the teachers extension tasks. This is truly remarkable as just one year ago we were told she was considerably below the reading standard the school had expected.
Honor is kind, patient, funny, gentle and nurturing, and during our time being supported by her the lessons have been restructured and assessed frequently to keep the pace and difficulty at a manageable and enjoyable level for my daughter. Honor has built a wonderful relationship with her, which allowed me to step back from the supportive parent roll at the start of the tutoring when the time was right, and allow Honor to fully lead and support the sessions, which in turn has really developed my daughters level of responsibility in her learning and her pride in her work.
I cannot recommend Honor enough, if your child is struggling with reading, accessing the curriculum or even just has many questions about why the English language is structured the way it is, Honor will enrich and enhance your child’s learning and development journey.

Gavin Newsom said children with learning disabilities should not be bullied, stating that Dyslexia is not a weakness but a strength, and added that no one — “not even the President of the United States” — should bully them.
Donald Trump criticized Gavin Newsom, a potential 2028 presidential candidate, saying the California governor should not be president due to his learning disability. Newsom has publicly acknowledged having Dyslexia, a common condition affecting reading and writing that is not linked to overall intelligence.

from a client (April 2025): Honor has made a World of difference in our son's life. She has been working with him for seven months now and he has come up from a grade two reading level, to a grade five reading level. His spelling is improving, along with his confidence. Honor is extremely patient, kind and professional. Our son was diagnosed with dyslexia last year and he enjoys his time with Honor and has taken pride in his literacy abilities. We highly recommend Honor and are so lucky to have her in our lives.
